Who We Are

Rebecca Thomas

Senior Consultant

As a consultant to non-profits and donors, Rebecca has over 20 years of experience in the corporate, arts and non-profit worlds.

She served for over a decade as the senior director and manager of a large international, Canadian-based corporate fund-raising and granting organisation. She has also worked in the creative management world with both the Stratford Shakespeare Festival and Live Entertainment Corporation of Canada.

Rebecca works with growing and established non-profits and social enterprises and charitable donors. She focuses on grant and program evaluation, as well as various project management, communications and development projects. Rebecca also serves on various boards and committees of Canadian charitable organizations. She holds a BA from Mt. Allison University.

Oliver McGinley

Founder

Oliver conceived of Measuredoutcome while attending a conference on social enterprise in the spring of 2005 where he realized the opportunity to improve information sharing, transparency, accountability, financial efficiency and transformational outcomes in the charitable value chain; the critical links between funders, charitable organizations and the beneficiaries of charitable services. 

Holding an MBA from the Ivey School of Business, Oliver’s responsibilities include plotting and implementing Measuredoutcome’s growth strategy.

In addition to business activities in Argentina, the US and Canada, Oliver’s volunteer work includes involvement in several fields including education, arts and other children’s charities. Currently, in addition to volunteering with Measuredoutcome, Oliver is the Founder and President of The Local Vegetable Company and is the Director for a private Canadian foundation.

Stephen Couchman

Founder

Stephen Couchman holds a BA in International Development Studies and a Masters in Environmental Studies, and has been engaged in the social, arts, business and philanthropic sectors for over 20 years.

Among other activities during this time, Stephen has been a program director with Outward Bound, a partner in a boutique corporate leadership development and strategic planning company, worked with several private and community foundations and has been actively involved in numerous charitable projects across Canada and internationally.

 

 

Diego Sanchez de Lozada

Director

Diego has experience in consulting, management, strategic planning, investing and project management in the mining, agribusiness, food processing, government, and education sectors. More recently his focus turned to strategy and risk analysis, especially in the areas of finance and operations.

Through much of his professional career, he was exposed to poverty and rural development issues. His main concerns include improving transparency, accountability and effectiveness in the allocation, access and use of project funding. Lately, he was involved in a project that provided formal training in leadership and project management to youth from impoverished urban and rural areas committed to the development of their communities.

Diego holds a Ph.D. in soil physics from Cornell University, an MBA from the Ivey School of Business and a B.S. in chemical engineering from Columbia University. He brings to Measuredoutcome a skill set that includes: financial modeling, applied statistics, relational databases, systems analysis and management information systems.

Robie Hockenstein

Director

Robie Hockenstein, CA, MBA has over fifteen years of financial consulting and auditing experience. Robie began his professional career in the audit practice of a national chartered accounting firm, with a focus on medium-sized entrepreneurial clients, as well as a significant number of clients in the public and not-for-profit sectors.

After completing his MBA in 2003, Robie joined RSM Richter (Richter Consulting) as a financial consultant and advisor to Senior Lenders and Equity Sponsors in Canada and the U.S, assisting in the assessment, acquisition, disposal and valuation of business units across many industries, including consumer products, retail, apparel, service, manufacturing and distribution. In 2012, Robie joined Tungsten Revenue Consultants as CFO.

Robie received an undergraduate degree in Management (BComm) from McGill University; is a member of the Ordre des Comptables Agrées du Québec (C.A.), and holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the Richard Ivey School of Business (UWO). Throughout his career, Robie has volunteered with numerous non-profit organization and currently is a member of the audit committee for a local organization providing over $50MM in annual grants.
